ABOUT SIMFE 2018

Following on from the tremendous success of SIMFE 2017 we invite you all to join us in 2018 at The Grand Holiday Villa Hotel Suites & Exhibition Center, Khartoum, Sudan for the 3rd Annual "Sudan International Mining Business Forum & Exhibition" (SIMFE 2018).

Under the Patronage of His Excellency The Minister of Minerals, Dr. Ahmed Mohammed Sadiq Al-Karuri SIMFE 2018 is the continuation of the Global Initiative which will once again provide an excellent networking platform for Existing Mining Companies, Service Providers, Equipment Companies and Investors through which interested parties will be informed about opportunities and developments in the mining sector and industries. SIMFE is an important initiative to promote the Sudan's Rich Mining Sector and present the Investors a great way to explore the huge untapped potential of this historic country. The event will continue to establish a dynamic relationship between the Ministry of Minerals & the Private sector with full Co-Operation from other Government Departments working to make Sudan a favorable & Pro Business Destination, a prerequisite for boosting economic activities and achieving development objectives.

SIMFE is an annual event for global professional dedicated to Mining. This is Sudan's professional largest exchange framework which each year brings together Sudan and global professionals of mining industries to discuss topical themes, promote their resources and build fruitful partnerships.

It has been an amazing event with hundreds of visitors, 29 foreign companies, 36 local ones and 100 foreign dignitaries attending the three days of 2nd Annual "Sudan International Mining Business Forum & Exhibition" (SIMFE 2017). Attendees have seen many new products launched at the show and new technologies unveiled. They were also able to see machinery and equipment in action during many live demonstrations. It offered an excellent learning platform and great insight to the delegates.

The Ministry of Minerals is the authority responsible for the
application of mining investment system in the Republic of
Sudan as per the Presidential Decree No. 22 for 2010.

Among its main responsibilities is to encourage and attract local and foreign investment in order to
promote the development of the mining sector in Sudan.

The development of mineral resources is one
of its main targets and that the attainment of
this target within the international competition environment poses many challenges.
